How liquid is a buffered product?
Buffered ETFs are highly liquid, just like regular ETFs. That means:
- Investors can buy or sell shares anytime the stock market is open.
- There are no lock-up periods or restrictions on trading.
- Investors can see the fund’s net asset value (“NAV”) price and trade it throughout the day on brokerage platforms.
This liquidity sets buffered ETFs apart from products like structured notes, which often have complex exit terms or penalties for early withdrawal.
It also means an investor can:
- Enter or exit at their convenience
- Use the ETF in active portfolios
- Adjust a position based on market outlook or personal financial needs.
Even though we launch new DIET ETFs quarterly, you can buy or sell your shares in any DIET ETF on any trading day, there’s no restriction or waiting period.
In short: Investors can trade buffered ETFs just like any stock or ETF, with full flexibility.
