Was ARKD used as another ARK ETF in the past?

ARKD was the ticker of a previous ARK-affiliated ETF – specifically, the ARK 21Shares Blockchain and Digital Economy Innovation ETF. It was launched in late 2023 (inception date November 15, 2023) as a collaboration between ARK Invest and 21Shares, and closed in September 2025. That fund, focused on investments in blockchain technology and digital assets (holding a mix of crypto-related equities and futures). It is not related to the Defined Outcome “DIET” ARK series aside from the ticker. ARKD is now used for the ARK Q1 Buffer ETF.
